Terms of Use

spoko.space is a portfolio, a blog and a contact form. There is no shop, no account to create and nothing to pay for, so these terms are mostly about the content: what you may do with it and what it is not.

In short:

  • Read, quote and link as much as you like. Quote with my name and a link; do not copy whole articles.
  • Code examples from the articles are under the MIT licence, so you can use them in your own projects, paid ones included.
  • AI assistants may read, summarise and quote the site. There is a Markdown copy of every page for exactly that.
  • The contact form is for projects and questions, not link-building offers.

Who runs this site

The site is run by Szymon Berski, trading as spoko.space, based in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. It is a one-person business, so the articles and the form both lead to me.

What you get

Everything here is free and needs no registration:

  • articles and service pages, each also available as plain Markdown at the same address with .md on the end,
  • RSS feeds for the English and Polish blog,
  • a contact form.

You need a device with a current browser. The text reads fine without JavaScript; the form, the theme switch and remembering your cookie choice need it.

Using the site does not tie you to anything beyond these terms. You can stop at any moment, and there is nothing to cancel. If we end up working together, that is a separate agreement made off this site.

Using the contact form

Write if you have a project, a question about an article, or you found something broken on the site. I reply within 24 hours on business days.

What gets deleted without a reply:

  • offers to buy links, guest posts or “SEO packages”,
  • bulk messages and sales pitches,
  • unlawful or abusive content, or other people’s personal data sent without their knowledge.

Give a real e-mail address, otherwise the reply has nowhere to go. The form is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile before it sends; what happens to your data after that is in the privacy policy.

The articles, photographs, project screenshots and the design of the site are mine, unless a particular item says otherwise. Company names and trademarks in the portfolio belong to their owners.

Articles

Quote fragments freely, with my name and a link to the article. That is what a blog is for. Republishing a whole article, translating it in full or using it commercially needs my permission first.

Code examples

Code shown in the articles is available under the MIT licence, copyright Szymon Berski. You can copy it into your own projects, change it and ship it, commercial work included, without asking. Like every MIT-licensed code, it comes with no warranty. A linked repository keeps whatever licence it states itself.

Photos and screenshots

They are not free stock. If you want to use one, say in an article about a project I built, write to me. A credit and a link is usually all it takes.

AI assistants and search tools

The site is written to be read by machines as well as people. Every page has a Markdown copy, there is an index at llms.txt, and robots.txt lets AI crawlers in.

An assistant or search tool may read the content, summarise it and quote it in answers. Please link to the page the answer comes from, so the reader can check it. The rules for people apply here too: summarising is fine, passing off a whole article as someone else’s text is not.

What this content is not

The articles describe my own projects and the way I work. An article about WCAG is not an accessibility audit of your site, a post about cleaning up a hacked WordPress is not a security review, and nothing here is legal or tax advice. Check whether it fits your case, and take a backup before changing a live site.

Every article shows the date it was published. Tooling changes quickly, so check it before following an older one step by step.

Articles and portfolio entries link to sites I do not run. A portfolio entry describes a project as I delivered it; some of those sites have been changed by other people since. Once you click through, their own rules apply.

I keep the site running, but I cannot promise it will never be down.

Complaints

If something does not work, or you object to something published here, write to contact@spoko.space and describe the problem. I reply within 14 days at the latest, usually much sooner.

If you are a consumer and we cannot settle it between us, out-of-court dispute resolution is available. In Poland, information is published by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and by municipal and district consumer ombudsmen.

Changes

When the rules change, I update this page and the date at the top. A change applies from the day it is published, never backwards.

Matters these terms do not cover are governed by Polish law.
