Long-term solution

Like the WordPress admin? Keep it — drop the baggage

If repairs keep happening month after month, your WordPress is a classic Volvo with an ageing gearbox — there will always be something. But you don't have to give up the admin panel you know.

Headless WordPress is a setup where:

  • You keep the familiar WordPress admin — still edit posts and pages the same way
  • The frontend (what visitors see) is built in Astro — static HTML that loads in under a second
  • Performance, cache, security plugins — no longer needed, because there's no classic frontend to protect
  • Hosting costs drop up to 10× (static hosting vs VPS for WP)
  • WP updates can no longer break the design — the frontend is decoupled

Headless WP migration — from €900 net. Includes: content transfer, new Astro frontend, REST API integration, deployment, SEO redirects, training.

Alternative: a full rewrite on Astro + Filament CMS without WordPress (from €1,200 net, individual quote). In practice, the headless approach covers most clients' needs at a lower cost and shorter implementation time — I recommend it as the first step.

How I work

The repair process step by step

From report to a working site — a transparent process, usually in 24–48 hours.

Report (1h)

You fill out the form or email me. Describe what happened, include the site URL. I respond within 1 hour on business days.

Diagnosis (2–4h)

I get FTP and WP admin access. Full backup, log analysis, root-cause identification. I send the quote and repair plan — no surprises.

Approval & deposit

You approve the quote, pay 50% deposit (or 100% for amounts under €120). I start work.

Repair (4–24h)

I fix the issue on a staging environment, test it. When it works — deploy to production. You only see the finished result.

Report & warranty (7 days)

You get a report — what was broken, what I fixed, what I recommend next. 7-day warranty for any recurrence of the same root cause.

WordPress repair process

My approach

Why a WordPress critic is fixing WordPress sites

My day-to-day work is frontend development in Vue and Astro. On the main page I openly consider WordPress a platform that long ago lost its edge on performance and security. That doesn't, however, mean a stack change is the right answer for every incident.

Over the years I've launched and maintained dozens of WordPress sites — from business cards, through company portals, to WooCommerce stores. One pattern keeps repeating: the more page builders and third-party plugins (including paid ones), the more performance, stability, and security problems surface later — and most attacks come from vulnerable plugins, weak admin passwords, and skipped updates, not from WordPress itself.

If your WordPress runs well, I recommend care, not migration. Too many contractors in this industry reflexively claim a project "needs to be rebuilt from scratch" — especially when it isn't theirs.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How fast will you respond?

On business days I respond within 1–2 hours. Typical problems (white screens, post-update errors, malware) are fixed within 24–48h of access. The Pro plan guarantees priority response within 8 business hours.

What if it can't be fixed?

If diagnosis shows that rescuing the current install costs more than rewriting from scratch, I'll tell you upfront. The deposit is refunded or redirected to a migration project. No hidden costs.

I'm nervous giving you access — what if something breaks?

Fair. First thing after receiving access: full backup (files + database). If anything goes wrong, I restore the pre-repair state in 30 minutes. Credentials are used only for the duration of the work, and I ask you to change them afterwards.

Do you fix WooCommerce?

Yes — I handle one-off WooCommerce fixes (emergency recovery, malware cleanup, performance optimization). I don't, however, offer monthly care for larger stores — they need dedicated specialist attention, and WooCommerce isn't the strongest fit for serious e-commerce. For a shop with real traffic, investing in an e-commerce-oriented stack is usually smarter than maintaining WooCommerce indefinitely.

What is headless WordPress and who is it for?

Headless WP = you keep the WordPress admin panel, but the frontend is rewritten in a modern technology (Astro). You edit content as before, but the site is 10× faster, secure, and doesn't need frontend plugin updates. Makes sense if you have an editorial team you don't want to retrain, and you're tired of fixing WordPress every quarter.

Can I cancel the care plan mid-term?

Yes, anytime — with one month's notice (prorated settlement). I don't lock anyone into 24-month contracts like some 'website subscription' providers.

Do you invoice?

Yes — I run a registered business and issue VAT invoices. Listed prices are net; VAT is added where applicable.

Do you fix non-WordPress sites?

If you have a Joomla, Drupal, Prestashop, or custom PHP site, reach out — I can assess whether I can help. The main offer covers WordPress and WooCommerce because that is 70% of the market and most inquiries.
